St Paul's Church of England Primary School

Welcome

Welcome to St Paul’s Church of England Primary School

We welcome all of our children and families to the academic year 2022/2023. This school year, will be one in which we build upon the successes of our Ofsted inspection, in March 2022. We will be seeking to further develop our curriculum by linking together our knowledge-rich and ambitious content, throughout all key stages.

We will also re-establish all that makes St Paul's CE Primary such a special place. We will have a particular focus on getting our children out and about, in our local area and for trips and visits further afield. These trips and visits will be linked to our established curriculum.  We know that the coming year will be full of financial challenges for our families but we are fortunate that within our village and immediate area, we have many interesting and inspiring destinations.

As a Church of England primary school, we will be continuing and building upon our close links with St Paul's Parish Church and our Rector, Rev'd Lisa Temperley-Barnes. We will be visiting the church regularly, for termly services and opportunities to develop the children's religious education. We will also be welcoming Rev'd Lisa into school to deliver school worship, on a fortnightly basis.

We will also take care to strengthen the children's mental health and wellbeing. As well as our Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) we also have a Mental Health Practitioner, working in school. This is part of an NHS project linked with other local schools.

We are convinced that our excellent provision will enable all children to flourish.

Mrs Lisa Gilchrist

Headteacher.
