This half term we will be learning about our Favourite stories. We will be learning: What story can I retell? What is my favourite story? Who writes a book? Can authors be male (boys) or female (girls)? |

In our daily Phonic session we will continue to follow The Read Write Inc scheme and begin some paired reading. We will learn to write our first name and then our family name.
In Mathematics we will start Power Maths Journal B of The Power Maths scheme. Number recognition and Our Day are both areas of Mathematics that we will continue. We will refer to our daily chart for the day, date, year, season and weather.
In Understanding the World we will be learning about comparing characters from the past, looking at maps, comparing Africa with England, understanding that some places are special to members of our community, explore the natural world around us and understand the effect of changing seasons on the natural world around us .
In Religious Education (RE )we will be learning about Respect, our whole school Christian value.
In Personal, Social and Emotional Development we will be showing resilience and perseverance in the face of challenge such as learning to fasten our own coat.
