How did people in the Stone Age survive?
Curriculum Coverage:
In Maths we will be looking at Multiplication and division. Within Multiplication and division we will be learning how to use different methods to multiply a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number. This term we will also be learning about how to use money, we will learn how to add and subtract amounts of money to give change and use £ and p in practical contexts.
In English, our text is, 'The Stone Age Boy'. Within our English lessons, we will be exploring the features of a historical narrative and we will be writing our own story from the point of view of the boy. We will be learning how to use inverted commas and the correct tenses within our writing.
Within our History lessons, we will explore what life was like in the Stone Age, what people ate, what people wore and how people lived. We will also be exploring Stone Age art (cave paintings) and we will use these to help us find out about the Stone Age period.
In Science we will be learning about animals including humans and explore which animals are carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. We will also learn that humans and some other animals have skeletons and muscles for support, protection and movement.
RE sees us looking at 'What kind of world did Jesus want?'. We will be exploring Christian stories from the Bible and interpreting how they show Christians to act today.
