Dukes Barn Day Three

Dukes Barn Day Three

Our last evening together at Dukes Barn was a night to remember. We sat around the camp fire and toasted marshmallows and also celebrated a birthday! The chef baked a lovely cake so we could all celebrate together.

Today we had our final delicious breakfast and packed all of our things ready to go home! The children were very good at taking the bed linen off their beds and giving their rooms a final big tidy up!

For Team Foxes and Badgers, their final activity at Dukes Barn was caving! They were very brave when climbing down into the cave and sitting carefully together when looking up at rocky ceilings. The children loved exploring the caves and were very good at supporting each other when walking through the different sections underground.

For Team Owls, they finally had the chance to experience the climbing wall, the zip wire challenge and the climbing adventure outdoors. The children worked together as a team when holding the rope when their team mate was climbing and they also encouraged each other to complete the climb in the fastest time!

Finally, it was ready to go home. We thanked all of the staff that have made this experience memorable and got on the coach ready to head back to school. When asking the children on the journey back, they all had a fantastic time and were all proud of themselves for trying new things and achieving new goals.

I am sure they will tell you all about their amazing memories from Dukes Barn, it was a pleasure to see all of the children flourish.
