What are the five types of animals?
In Maths we will be looking at addition and subtraction. Within this area of maths, we will be looking at related facts, comparing number sentences, making number bonds to 100, finding 10 more and 10 less, adding a 2 digit and a 1 digit number and subtracting a 1 digit number from a 2 digit number.
In English, our text is, 'Troll Swap'. This text takes the form of a fictional story. Within our English lessons, we will be exploring the features of fictional stories and traditional tales as well as enhancing our application of adjectives, adverbs and commas in a list.
In Science, we will finding out about living things and their habitats, identifying the differences between carnivores, herbivores and omnivores, learning about food chains and exploring the classification of animals that have back bones (fish, amphibians, mammals, reptiles and birds). We will be having a visit from Zoo lab to enable the children to find out about and handle real animals.
RE sees us looking at a World Religion, Judaism.
