Dukes Barn Day Two

The fun continues! Last night after our Dinner, we completed the Dukes Barn Quiz and Miss Burke was the Quiz Master. There were different categories which were all about Dukes Barn, Music, Film and Year 4 memories. The scores were very close, with the Foxes coming third with 31 points, Owls coming second with 33 points and Badgers coming first with an amazing 36 points. Well Done Team Badgers!

Day Two of Dukes Barn was full of trying new things and continuing our amazing adventure. After waking up, getting dressed and having our delicious breakfast, all of the groups got ready for their activities.

Team Badgers and Owls completed a weaselling activity which involved climbing through small holes between rocks and boulders. The children loved sliding in between the gaps and gliding down the rocks to reach the next level.

Team Badgers and Foxes completed the Ropes and the Climbing wall activity today, which involved heights, jumping and balancing. When asking the children, their favourite part of the pursuit was the challenge which including zooming across the room on a zip wire and throwing bean bags into a bucket.

Finally, Owls completed a challenging activity known as caving. After putting on our waterproof clothing and our hard hats, we carefully climbed down into the cave. Due to it being very dark in areas, we all worked together as a team to motivate each other when sliding under the stalactites and staggering through the water. We were all so brave!

Due to having such a long and busy day, we are all now in our comfy clothes and having a lovely last evening together. We cannot wait for the campfire, marshmallows and hot chocolate!
