Twycross Zoo

After a very busy SATs week, what better way to end the week than a trip to the zoo for our rainforest topic?

Despite some slight rain the weather held out, on the whole, and we had a great time.  The children really enjoyed looking at a wide range of animals including some that don't reside in the rainforest!

After lunch, we had a workshop in which we learnt about the different parts of the rainforest, what lives in each section and how we can help to protect the rainforest.

We also got to stroke some rainforest creatures including a cockroach and a tortoise!
