Welcome Back Spring 2

Welcome Back Spring 2

Dear Parents,

Welcome back! I do hope you have all had a lovely half term.  I cannot believe we are half way through the school year already! Our new topic is Governments. This half term, we will be visiting the Loughborough Mayor. I know the children are counting the days till our residential trip to Duke’s Barn.

Leaps and Ladders

In English, our new leaps focus on verb tenses. Our reading leaps focus on viewpoint. Guided reading will continue to take place daily in class. Please keep up the reading home! It does make a huge difference.
In Maths, our leaps involve division.

Homework and spellings will continue to be given out on Friday and due in the following Friday, unless stated otherwise. We now have P.E on Thursday and Friday.

We are also very lucky this half term to be joined by Miss Panther from Nottingham Trent University. She will be working with Year 4 until the Easter Break.

Please continue to feel free to approach me before 9 am and after school with any concerns. As always, if any parents have a particular skill or interest in any of our topics please do contact me! It would be a lovely to have your input.

Wishing you all another happy half term,

Mrs Rivers
