Rt. Hon Nick Gibb's Letter to St. Pauls

Easter Service at St Paul's Church

Our Church Service was held on Wednesday 23rd March and Reverend Lisa said it was the most impressive and moving service from a school that she had ever seen.

Children told the Easter Story through poetry, song and drama.

Each class created a piece of Art to leave behind for the church community to enjoy over the Easter period.

Take a look at the Gallery if you haven't managed to look in at St Paul's.

Y4 depicted Jesus being betrayed in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Y2 explained how Jesus was taken before Pontius Pilate and how he washed his hands to show he didn't want to be responsible for Jesus' death.

Y6 showed how Jesus had to carry his own cross to Golgotha with a moving drama and stunning artwork and Y3 depicted the crucifixion.

Y5 explained how Jesus was buried but the tomb was found empty on the Sunday after the crucifixion.

4+ showed how an Angel had appeared to Mary Magdalene and Y1 celebrated that Jesus was alive.

The children went into the audience to ask questions after each performance and sang some lovely Easter songs finishing, of course, with Spring Chicken!

Well done to all of of our little “Spring Chickens”.
