Rt. Hon Nick Gibb's Letter to St. Pauls

World Book Day 2016

It was World Book Day on Wednesday 3rd March and our Boys Library Group planned an exciting day in which reading for pleasure was celebrated across the whole school.

Exciting activities took place in classrooms over the day with children completing book reviews, designing book tokens and compiling lists of books that they would like us to purchase for the school library and for our new outdoor reading shed.

Children came to school dressed to celebrate their favourite book character with some creating an accessory to represent their character and some in complete costume. Prizes were awarded for the best ideas in each year group.

This was because only imaginative home-made costumes were allowed!

Children could bring in their favourite books with opportunities built into the day for them to read to their friends or quietly to themselves.

Everyone had fun finding out how cool books can be.

HUGE THANKS TO THE BOYS LIBRARY TEAM FOR ORGANISING THIS REALLY 'COOL' DAY!
