Our Harvest Appeal & Art Gallery 2015

Our Harvest Appeal & Art Gallery 2015

This week was our annual Arts Week (usually held in the Summer). The children were involved in a variety of artistic endeavours with the aim of forging community and global links and culminating in a celebration of Harvest here and across the world.

During the week the children refined their artistic skills by studying portraiture and creating self-portraits. The portraits have been brought together in a display to celebrate each child’s uniqueness but also our unity as a school underpinned by our Christian values.

We are once again supporting the charity 'CHILD.org – Seeds for Africa' to reinforce a sense of global citizenship during our own Harvest celebrations and will be sending a small envelope home for your child to decorate with a picture or poem and also fill with loose change ,pound coins or notes.

We will be held an exhibition of portraits in the School Hall. The exhibition was open to parents to view on Monday 12th October from 3.30pm.

Entry was by ticket only and tickets were purchased on the door for £1 each .

All monies raised will be sent to CHILD.org to support their quest to provide every child with enough food each day to face the world with a smile.
